Our bike tours in France

Cultural bike tours through France have been a major part of the Rotalis program for over twenty years. Culture, climate, wonderful nature, "savoir vivre," the special lifestyle of the French, make it an unforgettable country. It is ideal for bicycle touring, not least because of its tight network of agricultural paths and roads, most of which are paved.

Southwestern France and Languedoc (Route S)
Massive fortresses and quiet monasteries. Magic of the Middle Ages. Canal du Midi, Cassoulet, delicious wines and rugby men. A bike trip through fascinating southwestern France with its unforgettable riches and lovely landscapes.

Castles of the Loire Valley (Route T)
Through the "garden" of France, a luminous landscape, the rich magic of history and the architecture of the Middle Ages.

Burgund (Route X)

Strasbourg - Basel (Rotalis Relax: RA)
Almost exclusively on minor roads and field or forest paths. On the second and the last stage some occasional disturbing traffic. The second day requires some extra energy. Altogether an easy level of difficulty.

Normandy (Rotalis Relax: N)
Relax on the gently flowing river Seine while enjoying beautiful landscapes passing by. From Paris to the Norman province, discovering a part of "La France profonde".
